Jaffe’s design evolved to a complex of structures pin-wheeling around a central courtyard with a pool to create intimate and public outdoor rooms. The resulting site is a raw modernist courtyard oriented in an “Incan” style astronomical alignment with the structures in perpendicular orthogonal relationships.
